Great Falls Retreat

Project Description

This project adjoins the Great Falls Cottage and was built sequentially to create a unified compound feel.  A “seventies contemporary” home that many would have razed, was sensitively adapted to modern standards with a delightful open spaced dining addition adjoining the remodeled kitchen and a writing studio above off the master bedroom.  Another collaboration with architect Lorena Checa, environmentally sensitive materials were used throughout and combined with an originally installed geothermal system that needed complete equipment replacement.  Locally sourced cypress resided the home and add to the nestled in look of the entire property.
